La Posta di Confine sits on a hill close to Corciano covered with centuries-old Dolce Agocia olive trees. Next to these, there are younger trees producing Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoio olives. We produce our Dago Organic Extra-Virgin Olive Oil from these varieties.
By restoring the old-growth olive orchard that surrounds the property to productivity, we recovered ancient olive cultivars that give the oil its distinct flavour.
The olives are harvested by hand and pressed within a few hours of harvest. This ensures the quality of the oil and gives it that unmistakable "green grass" flavour reminiscent of a freshly mowed field.
The owners are always happy to show guests their collection of antique farm equipment kept on the premises. You will be captivated by the stories about the people who dwelled in this place through the years, about the hardships they suffered but also about their peaceful and joyous experiences.
